How long do we stay off the driveway?

For the first appointment you can drive on it as soon as we are done. For the second appointment, when we apply the sealer, we ask you stay off for at least 48 hours.

How can I avoid damage to my newly sealed driveway?

Following the directions provided as well as avoiding parking directly where the crack material was applied. This material is rubberized and intentionally designed to remain flexible. It has the pliability to move with the driveway in the event of expansion and contraction. Once sealer is applied and cured, avoid pivoting or sharp turning of vehicle tires, especially while the car is not in motion, on driveway sealer and crack sealer.

What will my driveway look like after it’s complete? And will the crack filler show through?

It will look like a new driveway. Unfortunately, some crack filler may show through. This is because driveway sealer will only temporarily adhere to the crack filler, and it might flake off due to the moving/stretching of the material. This is unavoidable. This does NOT mean that the cracks will not remain sealed.

How long will the cracks stay sealed?

The answer depends upon a few variables. There is no way to provide a definite life expectancy of a filled and sealed crack. In the Northeast there is much fluctuation in temperature throughout the winter months, which increases the expansion and contraction of the cracks. This in turn hinders the longevity of the crack filler.

How often should I have my driveway sealed?

Usually we recommend every 2-3 years, and we will send you a reminder when we recommend another. However, if your driveway sees a lot of traffic or heavy winters it may need to be done sooner than every 2-3 years.

How does scheduling work?

We only book out a few days in advance due to the unpredictability of the weather. We will call or email you around 24-48 hours before we plan on coming for each appointment. If you are going away on vacation and want the job done while you are away, we can plan that in advance, weather permitting. We will always work with you to make sure the appointments are convenient for you.
